Carla Palffy is a licensed professional counselor with over five years experience as an undergraduate academic advisor and adjunct professor at Wayne State University. As a Michigan licensed school counselor, Carla has worked in the Grosse Pointe Public School system in both the middle school and high school counseling offices in the past three years.

Lorraine Pascasio, Educational Consultant
Lorraine Pascasio is an educational consultant who brings ten years of experience to our staff working in the private school sector. She graduated from Penn State University, majoring in Computer Science and completed the Montessori Early Childhood/Elementary Level Certification program, located in Rochester Hills, MI. Lorraine previously was employed with Detroit Country Day School, working with Middle School children before joining our staff. Before entering the educational arena, she was employed with Alcoa for fifteen years as an Administrator in the Corporate Affairs Division, located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Lorraine is dedicated to providing individual direction and consultation to students and their families for the preparation of early high school success and collegiate preparation, based on the student’s specialized needs, talents, and abilities. Special focus will be placed on time management and organization, high school curriculum choices, preparation and execution of the collegiate admission and application process, along with selection, preparation and comprehension of the standardized tests and test results. Career exploration will also be addressed.
She has one son at Detroit Country Day High School, class of ‘09. Lorraine is a member of the Michigan Association for College Admission Counselors (MACAC).
Dr. Matthew Lonam
(Ph.D., in Higher Education, University of Missouri - Columbia, 1999) has broad experience working with college and university admissions for both undergraduate and graduate program. Dr. Lonam has more then 10 years experience advising college students as Dean of Mountain State University and is a frequent speaker at college recruiting events for high school students.
